In Conversation with Dr Nicholas Andreou
Join us for an interesting discussion with Imperial-trained medic Dr Nicholas Andreou who is the co-founder of Locum’s Nest, a platform that matches vacant shifts in healthcare organisations to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Locum’s Nest has been named by the Telegraph as one of the “Top 5 ideas to save the NHS” and one of the fastest growing companies in Europe by the Financial Times and is responsible for improving the working lives of over 50,000 healthcare professionals. Nicholas' journey started as an ordinary junior doctor who made a leap of faith into the world of social impact entrepreneurship and through Locum's Nest has helped save the NHS over half a billion pounds to-date.

Networking Event

We are very excited to announce our first face-to-face networking event which will take place on the 4th of December 2021 at 5pm.
The event will be hosted by HE the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Andreas Kakouris at the High Commission of Cyprus in London, 13 St James' Square, London SW1Y 4LB.
This networking event will be an excellent opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and share training opportunities. Drinks and finger food will be provided. Entrance to the event is free to members of the CMS UK. You can register as a member on our website.
In light of recent events, wearing a protective face mask is strongly encouraged, as is the undertaking of a lateral flow test prior to attending.

In conversation with the UK Thalassaemia Society
Join us for an "In Conversation" event with the UK Thalassaemia Society.
The UKTS’s overriding aim is to improve the lives of people living with thalassaemia by providing invaluable support to patients and their families with the condition across the UK.
The charity works with Public Health England and the NHS to promote screening and to develop clinical standards to ensure the best care for thalassaemia patients.
In Conversation with Professor Christina Fotopoulou
Professor Christina Fotopoulou is a consultant gynaecological oncologist at Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital. She was trained at the Charité University Hospital of Berlin with a sub-specialism in gynaecological oncology.
Professor Fotopoulou was the leading consultant and vice director of the Clinic for Gynecology at the Charité in Berlin, one of the largest accredited centres for gynaecological cancer in Germany. She has also been the principal coordinator of the European Competence Centre for Ovarian Cancer, which was created in 2007 in Berlin.
In this webinar we will discuss her expertise in performing ultra-radical surgery for advanced and relapsed ovarian cancer and the use of targeted therapies in advanced gynaecological cancers and their implications on surgical practice.
