Dr. Athina Mavrou is a Gastroenterology registrar. Following her undergraduate degree in Medical Genetics at Queen Mary University of London, she was awarded a scholarship from Prostate Cancer UK, which led to a PhD from the University of Bristol. Her research has resulted in several publications, including a first-author paper in the journal Oncogene Nature. She obtained her medical degree from St. George’s University of London Medical School in 2017 and has since continued her clinical training at various hospitals in London.
