Mr Constantinos Simillis graduated with MBBS from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2005, where he also completed an intercalated BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia with First Class Honours. He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Healthcare, followed by a Doctorate in Medicine (Research) from University College London. Mr Simillis was awarded a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law, at Manchester University, School of Law. He completed his speciality training in general surgery and colorectal surgery in the North West London Deanery in 2017. Mr Simillis undertook subspecialty training in advanced colorectal cancer at St Mark’s Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital. He has been appointed to his current post as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Addenbrookes, Cambridge University Hospitals. He specialises in minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, advanced colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. Mr Simillis has a strong academic record and has published extensively in the scientific literature with over 100 publications and book chapters. He has given multiple national and international presentations, and frequently acts as a reviewer for surgical peer-reviewed journals.
