Dr Maria Lazarou is a Paediatric Trainee at London North West NHS Trust. Following her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science, Maria obtained her Medical degree from Cardiff University School of Medicine. During this time she was involved in a number of publications, national and international oral/poster presentations. She completed her foundation training in Birmingham, and went on to work at Birmingham Children’s Hopsital as a clinical fellow and clinical teaching fellow. During this time she obtained her postgraduate certification in Medical Education for Healthcare Professionals. Maria has previously been involved in NEPOMAK (an organisation for young Cypriot diaspora). She was an active committee member for almost 8 years; taking on multiple leadership roles such as General Secretary, and leading on charity initiatives such as the Santa Shoe Box Campaign and the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge.
