Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Cyprus Medical Society UK membership.
Who can join Cyprus Medical Society UK?
Cypriot doctors and medical students in the UK, as well as those who trained or worked in the UK and now practise abroad (overseas members). Whatever your grade or specialty, you're welcome.
How much does membership cost?
Membership is completely free.
How do I become a member?
Click Join, complete the registration form, and confirm your email address. Your application is then reviewed by the team.
What happens after I apply?
Your profile is created straight away with a membership number, and your application is marked as pending. Once the team approves it, you get full access to the member directory and everything else — and we'll email you to let you know.
What is the member directory?
A private directory of members, visible only to signed-in, approved members. You choose what to show — your photo, name, title, role and city are always shown; everything else is optional.
How does the mentorship programme work?
If you'd like a mentor, tick the option on your profile and the team will do its best to match you with a more senior member who shares your specialty or interests. Doctors and overseas members can also offer to mentor others. See the mentorship page for details.
Can I contribute an article or share my news?
Yes — once you're an approved member, you can submit articles and community stories from your profile dashboard. We love celebrating members' achievements.
How do I update my details?
Sign in and edit your profile at any time. Approved members' changes go live immediately.
How is my personal data handled?
We only use your data to run the society. See our Privacy & Cookie Policy for full details, including your rights and how to delete your account.
